Platinum LEED Skyscraper Architecture New York

Bank of America Skyscraper building in New York is the first Skyscraper architecture which has Platinum LEED certification. Â Located at Bryant Park New York, Bank of America skyscraper architecture concept tries attending green design in the middle of Manhattan downtown, for the evidence this skyscraper building design using grey-water system captures rainwater and reuses it. Inside Bank of America Building, floor and ceiling insulating glass was design to maximize natural light and automatically daylight dimming system. Purified filtered air conditioning system inside skyscraper building has been selected to give pure and fresh air supply while at the same time exhaust air is also filtered as clean as possible to provide clean air for pedestrian surrounding in Midtown Manhattan.

Bank of America Platinum LEED Skyscraper is cooled by ice where the cooling system makes this building a storage option for wind power using thermal energy storage (TES). Cools pipes running through glycol liquid tanks which can be use as cold storage system and next day, the cooled liquid is then piped throughout the skyscraper, cooling the entire building as it flows underneath each floor. This cools the building on Manhattan’s hot and muggy dog days of summer for only about a third of the energy cost of surrounding buildings. This is called energy shifting, because it shifts the peak use from daytime hours, when everyone is in the offices, to nighttime, when electricity demand is lower and the costs are lower. At Manhattan downtown Wind mostly blows at night, this condition are use to generate electricity, so that make a perfect combination while has no market at night and the entire citizen are fall in sleep.
